Why I Created RateTheSupervisor.com

Have you ever felt mistreated by a supervisor? Have you experienced toxic work environments where leadership failed to foster respect and fairness? Too often, companies overlook these issues, leaving employees feeling powerless and unheard.

I’ve personally faced these challenges multiple times. Frustrated by the lack of accountability, I decided to take action. That’s why as a web developer and programmer, I created RateTheSupervisor.com—a platform where employees can share their experiences, provide honest feedback about their supervisors, and help others make informed decisions about their workplaces.

Not all supervisors are bad. Some are true leaders—mentors who support, inspire, and create a positive work culture. These supervisors deserve recognition, and this website is also a place to highlight those who make a difference.

This is my project, born from my experiences and a belief that workplaces can be better. Whether you want to warn others about a toxic boss or praise someone who truly leads with integrity, your voice matters here.

Jessica Theriault is a textbook example of a manager who displays narcissistic and sociopathic qualities in order to meet quotas so that they may receive an annual bonus. She is unapproachable and will take any given opportunity to diminish, belittle or dismiss someone else’s perspective. The welfare of any team working underneath Jessica Theriault is put in jeopardy due to her willingness to disregard the well-being of others.

This wrecking ball arrived around nine months ago under the guise of a miracle worker. Instead, she single-handedly gutted the channel organization, chased out anyone with half a brain, and installed a squad of drooling bootlickers in their place. Based on her usual shelf-life, she’s probably got a few months before she bolts—but the absolute sh!tstorm she’s created? That’s gonna haunt this place for years. It’s downright tragic how these zero-talent, power-drunk clowns keep slithering into top spots, proving the whole system is nothing but a rigged circus.

This manager consistently failed to provide clear direction or timely approvals, resulting in frequent last-minute changes to completed work and unnecessary rework. Employee input was not valued, and communication lacked consistency and transparency. The prolonged approval process and shifting expectations created delays, frustration, and low morale. Overall, the leadership approach contributed to an inefficient and discouraging work environment.

"Terrible Micro Manager"

By far one of the worst supervisors ever. I only gave her one five star because she's EXCELLENT at delegating all of HER work to you. So if you're cool with doing all the work but receiving none of the credit she will be perfect for you. She will micro manage you to a T and is the least self sufficient supervisor I have ever had. She will pull you in to her office and talk to you about pointless things for HOURS. Including complaining about other people she works closely with. She's terrible and I wouldn't work for her again if someone paid me a million dollars.

I had a deeply disappointing experience working under this manager. It became clear early on that the hiring process was more of a formality than a genuine effort to build a strong team. The manager seems to hire employees only to let them go shortly after, without any clear rationale or communication. This constant turnover created an unstable and stressful work environment. I felt undervalued, and it was disheartening to witness colleagues being let go without proper feedback or support. It's hard to feel motivated when the goal seems to be hiring just to fire. I would not recommend working
